Here is all  the information you will need if you would like to take the Therapy Dog classes and get your dog registered as a therapy dog with TDInc. Already registered therapy dogs are invited to participate as well. The schedule listed below will be the program plan. Please be committed to attend all of the classes as you will need a minimum of 3 observed classes to get your registration.

 

Please be committed to attend ALL of the classes.  You will need a minimum of 3 observed classes to get your registration.  Therefore, if you miss any and because my schedule is tight and I have limited time, the next class probably won’t take place until sometime in JANUARY 2012.

 

  • Orientation and Temperament Test: Sunday, January 29th, 2012  ~  9:45AM
  • 1st Observations (if you passed the test you will attend):  Sunday, January 29th, 2012 ~ 9:45AM
  • 2nd Observation: Sunday, February  5th, 2012  9:45AM
  • 3rd Observation: Saturday, February 12th, 2012  9:45am
  • Make up Observation: Sometime in February 19th, 2012

What to bring with you to your initial test:  (all items attached/downloaded and filled out (your portion))

·   TCInc. Member application

·   Prospective member waiver

·   TDInc. Test

·   Copy of proof of rabies vaccination

·   Negative fecal exam from your Vet.

· 4’ or shorter leash & TDInc. & Approved collar

·   Water for dog

·   Bag for clean up

·   Paper towels

·   Flat collar, no pinch, halter type leads, no electronic collar, no chain choke collars

 

YOU MUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO REGISTER FOR THE CLASS AS SPACE IS LIMITED.

CLASSES ARE FREE, YOU ONLY PAY THE REGISTRATION MEMBERSHIP FEE WHICH INCLUDES INSURANCE COVERAGE.

 

Read over all of the material attached in the pdf by downloading it and bringing it with you to the first test/class.  A small file folder or bi-fold pocket folder works best.  Be sure to call ahead to your vet for the required fecal exam and bring proof of rabies and fecal results with you.
